Returns & Refunds Policy (Webshop)

This policy explains how returns and refunds work for purchases made through our webshop.

It distinguishes between consumer customers (B2C) and business customers (B2B).

Trader details: JB Corrie & Co Ltd, Frenchmans Road, Petersfield, Hampshire, GU32 3AP. Email sales@jbcorrie.co.uk. Tel 01730 237100.

1. Definitions

  • Consumer / B2C: an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or
    profession.
  • Business / B2B: a purchaser acting for purposes relating to their trade, business, craft or
    profession.
  • Made-to-order / bespoke: goods made to your specification or clearly personalised for you.

2. Consumer right to cancel (change of mind)

If you are a consumer, you normally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days after the day you receive the goods, without giving any reason.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel by a clear statement (e.g., email).

2.1 Return deadline after cancellation

After you tell us you want to cancel, you must send the goods back (or make them available for collection where applicable) within 14 days.

2.2 Return costs (including large items)

Unless goods are faulty or we agree otherwise, you are responsible for the cost of returning goods.

If goods cannot be returned by post due to size/weight, we can arrange collection at your request. We will tell you the estimated collection cost before arranging it.

2.3 Condition of goods and deductions

You may inspect goods as you would in a shop. If you handle goods beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, we may make a deduction from your refund for loss in value.

3. Consumer refunds (change of mind)

If you cancel as a consumer, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including standard delivery charges (but not any additional cost if you chose a premium delivery option), unless a statutory exception applies.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and no later than 14 days after the day we receive the goods back from you (or you supply evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earlier).

Refunds are made using the same means of payment you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.

4. Consumer cancellation exceptions

The consumer right to cancel does not apply to certain goods, including (where applicable):

  • Made-to-order or bespoke goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised.
  • Goods which are inseparably mixed with other items after delivery.
  • Other exemptions that may apply under consumer contract regulations (where relevant).

5. Faulty / incorrect goods (B2C and B2B)

If goods are faulty, damaged on arrival, not as described, or incorrect, you have legal rights.

Consumers: your rights are protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including remedies such as repair, replacement, or refund depending on the circumstances.

Business customers: your rights arise under contract and applicable sale of goods legislation; please contact us promptly so we can assess and propose a remedy.

Where a return is required due to our error or a fault, we will cover reasonable return/collection costs.

6. Business-to-business orders (B2B)

Business customers do not have an automatic 14‑day ‘change of mind’ cancellation right. Any returns or cancellations for B2B orders are subject to our Terms & Conditions and any written agreement we make with you.

7. How to request a return

  1. Email sales@jbcorrie.co.uk with your order number, item(s) to return, and the reason (e.g., change of mind / faulty / incorrect).
  2. We will confirm the returns instructions and, where relevant, provide collection options for bulky goods.
  3. Package goods securely. Please include your order number with the return.
